  • A 4-digit PIN to access the wallet.

How to Transfer Bitcoin to Ledger Nano S?

Here are the steps to be followed to transfer Bitcoin to Ledger Nano S:

Step 1: Connect your Wallet

Connect your wallet using the USB with your computer and enter the PIN code to access the wallet.

Step 2: If you have downloaded the Ledger Wallet Bitcoin app, open the app on your computer using the buttons in your wallet. If you have not downloaded the app, you can download it from Ledger Manager.

Step 3: You will see the option to choose from Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Select the Bitcoin option, since we are receiving Bitcoin in our wallet.

Step 4: You will see another screen to choose between SegWit or Legacy. SegWit has better transaction speed and lower fee, so you can choose SegWit but if you want to choose Legacy, you can select it too.

Step 5: Now you will see a screen with Accounts, Send, Receive and Settings option. Click on the “Receive” option at the top of wallet.

Step 6: A pop-up wallet will appear, showing my account. Choose the account and Click on “Display Address on Device.”

Step 7: Verify and confirm the Address that pop-up. Make sure that both the addresses are same by verifying the Address on QR code with the address that Ledger is showing.

Step 8: Copy the QR code or the address, if both addresses are same. Then provide that address to the funding source.

Step 9: Now send your Bitcoin to that address. As soon as the transaction is confirmed, it will be available in your wallet. You can check your transaction history from the wallet too.

How to Transfer Ethereum to Ledger Nano S

Here are the steps to transfer Ethereum to Ledger Nano S:

Step 1: Connect your Ledger Nano S wallet with your computer using the USB cable and enter the PIN code to access your wallet.

Step 2: If you have installed the Ledger Wallet Ethereum app, open the app. Or you can download it from Ledger Manager.

Step 3: Screen will appear to choose between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. Since we are sending Ethereum, select the Ethereum “ETH” from the option.

Step 4: After the app opens, you will see a down arrow at the top of the window which is to receive funds. Click on the down arrow.

Step 5: After the click on down arrow, you will see the QR code and an address which is mostly in the HEX address, not the IBAN.

Step 6: Copy and paste the address or scan the QR code to the payment source from where you want to transfer your ETH.

Step 7: You will receive your transaction within few minutes depending upon the network.

How to Transfer Litecoin to Ledger Nano S

Here are the steps to transfer your Litecoin to Ledger Nano S wallet:

Step 1: Connect your Ledger Nano S wallet to your computer and enter the 4-digit PIN code to access your wallet.

Step 2: If you have installed the Litecoin app on your computer, open the app. If not then you can download it from Ledger manager.

Step 3: When you open the app, you will see accounts, send and receive option. Since we want to receive click on the receive option in the wallet.

Step 4: You will see your wallet address and QR code. You can copy the code or scan the QR code to the required source to send the coin to that address.

Step 5: After the transaction is confirmed, you will receive the payment in few minutes depending on the network. You can check your transactions history from the app after you receive or send coins from it.

How to Transfer Ripple to Ledger Nano S

Here are the steps to be followed to transfer Ripple to Ledger Nano S wallet:

Step 1: As you know, first of all, you need to connect your Ledger Nano S wallet with your Computer using the USB cable.

Step 2: Now you must have Ledger Wallet Ripple app installed in your computer. If it is not installed, you can download it from Ledger Manager. Open the app and unlock the Ledger with its PIN.

Step 3: You will see a down arrow when you open the app. Click the down arrow to receive the Ripple coins “XRP”.

Step 4: After you click the down arrow, you can see the wallet address for your Ripple wallet or you can scan the QR code. You need to copy the address.

Step 5: Paste the address at the source to transfer XRP coins to your wallet and submit.

Transfer Cryptocurrencies to Ethereum, Litecoin, & Ripple from Ledger Nano S

Here are the steps to be followed to send Bitcoin or any other altcoins (Ethereum, Litecoin or Ripple) from the Ledger Nano S wallet:

Step 1: Connect your Ledger Nano S wallet using USB with your computer and enter the PIN to access your wallet.

Step 2: Launch the required Ledger Cryptocurrency wallet Chrome application either Bitcoin or Ethereum or Litecoin or Ripple that you want to send.

Step 3: Click on “Send” or the up arrow to send your cryptocurrency to other address. After you click a pop-up screen will appear.

Step 4: In the pop-up screen, enter the amount of Cryptos you want to send, the receiver’s public address and choose the account from which you want to send. You can also scan the QR code for the address.

Step 5: You can choose the number of fees that you want to pay for the transaction. More the amount faster will be the transaction.

Step 6: Click on the “Send” button. The Nano S wallet requires manual consent so you need to click on the button at right side above the “V” icon in the wallet to confirm and validate the transaction. After you click on the button, the chrome application will display Validated after the transaction is verified.

Step 7: You will see the change in the amount of Cryptocurrency that you send, in your wallet.
